Resetting Day One
Challenge
A critical, yet often overlooked journey of an organization is the on-boarding experience. Larger than just a career move, this is a time when a new hire has agreed to make a life-shift and embark upon a new stage of life with a new organization. The responsibility of any organization is to reassure them they have made the right choice, and get them excited for day one. It’s also an opportunity to find efficiencies, speeding time to productivity and giving them the tools to inspire others to consider a career with the organization. As the organization scaled, the journey of new employees from “Offer Accepted” to “Day One” was totally rethought. In reviewing the on-boarding journey, every touchpoint in the new employee onboarding experience was examined and considered. Then, a series of recommendations was put into action against a timeline.

Previously, upon accepting an offer, a new employee was sent an email with the Code of Conduct PDF and was copied to the HR manager. We transformed the experience and remapped the Day One journey leveraging existing assets and platforms including email, mail, maps, and existing cultural happenings to provide a truly welcoming experience that extended to the entire organization. Every touchpoint in the new On-boarding experience was executed against newly published brand guidelines, using the unique Audible voice.
